Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - WebMoney Transfer international settlement system entered the market of Uzbekistan. The system also introduced a WMY wallet in Uzbek soums.

According to the press service of the system, the users can pay for mobile communications, the Internet, utilities, online games with the help of the title characters WMY. Global and national services will be connected to WMY. Paying WebMoney is possible not only online - the solution of the system allows owners of cafes, restaurants and shops to accept non-cash payments using a QR code.

Uzbek businessmen interested in exporting goods will be able to set up WebMoney system for accepting payments from foreign clients in foreign currencies.

The users can replenish their WMY wallet from UZCARD bank cards, via OSON payment system and PAYNET.UZ mobile application, as well as in cash at PAYNET reception points and ATMs. Withdrawals from the wallet are available on UZCARD cards and a bank account. In addition, WMY can be exchanged for any other system title units and, thus, pay in more than 100 thousand online stores around the world, accepting WebMoney.

Turkiston Bank plays an important role in the operation of the WebMoney system in Uzbekistan and is the issuer of WMY title characters. The status of the guarantor of the WebMoney system for WMY was received by a company from the financial technology sector LLC BrioGroup, known as the developer of the OSON payment system.

First Deputy Chairman of the Bank Furkat Aliyev notes: “Turkiston Bank began cooperation with a number of international e-commerce companies in order to promote the development of innovative projects and e-commerce in Uzbekistan. The arrival of WebMoney will be an important driver for the growth of e-commerce in Uzbekistan, as well as will increase the confidence of citizens in the payment in online stores. Sellers and buyers in Uzbekistan will be able to take advantage of dozens of solutions developed by WebMoney Transfer: auto payments, mass payments, protection of transactions and many other services. We started the development of this project in 2018, together with the team of BrioGroup. and Turkiston Bank signed an issuance agreement for WMY title units. ”
