With Kazma having already booked their spot in the next round, the Syrians will attempt to snatch the second Group C spot from their Uzbek opponents when they meet on Tuesday.
They need to beat their rivals by two goals at Al Abbasiyyin Stadium but Odisho will be without midfielder Bwrhan Sahiwne, who is suspended after collecting his second yellow card of the competition in the 1-0 win against Kazma last week.
Having only picked up one point in their first three games, Al Jaish’s chances of progressing had looked slim at best but they now stand on the brink of an unlikely turnaround.
"We are now in the position that we were planning to be after the bad start that we had in the group," said Odisho.
"We have now a chance to qualify in the game against Nasaf, which we will play at home and in front of our fans."
"We know the task that we have, which is to win by two goals and hopefully we can do this. We should maintain our concentration in the game especially that Nasaf have several options to qualify.
"Our team must forget the local league matches and concentrate on this game," added the Iraqi.
"We must produce a good performance, especially as Nasaf are a strong team and they will give their best in the game.
"I expect a good match from the two teams. We should control the midfield and play at a fast tempo while I hope that we can score in the first-half because this will give us the momentum."
Nasaf beat the Syrians 2-1 in Karshi the last time they met and one point will be enough to see them through.
Coach Victor Kumykov, though, is confident that his side can get the job done.
"We have a good idea about Al Jaish and their tactics," he said.
"The game on Tuesday is decisive and we know how hard it will be as Al Jaish will be playing at home and in front of their fans.
"We are going through a good period and we will go into the game with big focus on achieving the target that we have came for here, which is to advance to the next stage.”
