WB to provide Uzbekistan with loan funds for US$1 billion - President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The World Bank will provide Uzbekistan credit resources for US$ 1 billion for development and diversification of agriculture in the country. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his address to the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Uzbek leader said that the Government of Uzbekistan requested the World Bank to provide US$1 billion for development and diversification of agriculture in the country.

Mirziyoyev noted that Cyril Muller, vice president of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, will soon visit Uzbekistan. The President noted that he will meet Muller personally and discuss the issues of attracting loans.
