National annual competition “The Woman of the Year”, initiated in 2007 by the chairperson of Women’s Council Gulnara Karimov, marks its fifth anniversary this year.

In the first stage, participants should submit their application, which was directed at presenting internal world of each woman and their activities.

One person from one region, Karakalpakstan and Tashkent city qualified to the final stage of the competition, which will be held in Tashkent city. The winner will be determined via national voting.

Any person can vote via SMS message. Beeline, Ucell and Perfectum Mobile subscribers should send number of nominee to short number 77708.

The cost of one SMS message is US$0.35, including all taxes. The voting will be held from 30 November to 6 December 2012.

National annual competition “The Woman of the Year” is held annually to support women, who take care after family and achieve significant results in work and public life. Over 92,000 women sent their applications to participate at the contest in last four years.
