According to the preliminary data, 14,765,444 voters participated in the presidential elections, which were held in compliance with the national laws and international standards, Abdusalomov said.
At present, counting votes for each of the four candidates is underway at voting stations across the country, he added.
264 observers from international organizations and movement monitored the elections, including 78 from the CIS, 26 from the OSCE, 6 from the OIC, 3 from the SCO and 2 from the EurAsEC. The number of observers from the political parties and the initiative group of voters comprised more than 23,000.
Abdusalomov said the observers were present at the opening of the voting boxes and vote counting.
The Central Election Commission is expected to announce the preliminary results of the elections of the President at 6am on 24 December.
