Voter turnout in presidential elections in Uzbekistan exceeds 55.8%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 13:00 of 4 December 2016, 11.418 million citizens of Uzbekistan casted their ballots in the presidential elections, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov said.

He said that over 11.418 million voters from 20.429 million registered voters voted at the presidential elections in Uzbekistan.

The voter turnout made up 55.89% of total number of voters, he said.

He added that the CEC did not receive any information on violations of election legislation during the voting.

The voting process continues. The polling stations will work till 20:00 Tashkent time.
