Volume of rendered services in Uzbekistan grows by 12.9% in 9m
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Implementation of measures on developing infrastructure of services in Uzbekistan helped to growth of the service volumes by 12.9% in January-September 2011.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the volume of rendered services made up 27.752 trillion soums in nine months of 2011.

In particular, communication and informatization services increased by 41.6% to 1.88 trillion soums in the result of increasing number of subscribers, using mobile communication and Internet, as well as digitalization level of automatic telephone systems.

Adopted measures on developing micro- and consumer loans, improving payment systems, as well as developing institutes of financial infrastructure allowed to increase the volume of financing services by 23.5% to 2.535 trillion soums.

Creating of over 4,000 new enterprises in trade and public catering helped to increase corresponding service by 18.9% to 5.567 trillion soums.

The committee said that the services on repairing cars and other equipment grew by 19.2% to 283.2 billion soums.

The growth of domestic services grew by 19% due to creation of new 1,657 objects in the sector. The volume of domestic services reached 305.6 billion soums.

The volume of transport services rose by 1.7% to 8.323 trillion soums, tourism-excursion services – by 27.3% to 35.2 billion soums, and hotel services – by 8.3% to 85.3 billion soums.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the share of services in GDP of Uzbekistan made up 48.8% in nine months of 2011.
