Volume of rendered market services reaches 54.5 trln. soums in Jan-May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-May 2018, according to preliminary data, the volume of rendered market services in Uzbekistan made up 54.5 trillion soums.

Compared to the same period last year, the growth rate was 7.0%. In the total volume of rendered market services, the largest share is transport services (30.2 %), the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Currently, fast-growing types of services include ICT services and credit and financial institutions. Relying on new technologies and the results of market liberalization, these activities have recently taken a new turn in development and now play a decisive role in the technological progress of society and the globalization of the economy.

In January-May 2018, compared to the same period last year, the highest growth rates were achieved for services in the field of architecture, engineering surveys, technical testing and analysis (+33.6%); financial services (+29.4%); communication and information services (+18.9%); services in the field of health (+13.6%).

Transport services occupy the largest volume in the total volume of rendered market services – 16.48 trillion soums. This is due to the high demand for this type of services in such diverse sectors as industry, construction, foreign and domestic trade, agriculture, tourism and etc.

Along with this, compared with the same period last year, there was an in-crease in the volume of trade services – 15.025 trillion soums financial services – 7.492 trillion soums, communication and information services – 3.73 trillion soums.

The largest share in the total volume of transport services is provided by services provided by road transport (48.3%). Transportation services by pipeline account for 18.5% of the total transport services.

The services rendered by railway transport in the total volume of transport services make up 15.3 %.

The share of services for the transportation of goods and passengers by air reached 10.6% of the total volume of transport services.

Subsidiary transport activity occupies 7.3% of the total volume of transport services

Transport plays a huge role in the economic development of the country. At present, due to the maneuverability and relatively low cost of the services provided, compared to other modes of transport, the automobile mode of trans-port is one of the most demanded services.

In the structure of services provided by road transport, the largest share is in Tashkent city (16.7%), Tashkent (13.8%) and Samarkand (11.7%) regions.

The lowest indicators were recorded in Syrdarya (1.6%), Jizzakh (2.7%), Navoi (2.7%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.2%).

In January-May 2018, the growth rate of financial services, compared with the same period last year, reached 129.4%.

An increase in the growth rate of financial services is observed in Surkhandarya (140.5%), Jizzakh (136.7%), Tashkent (136.2%), Navoi (135.5%) regions and Tashkent (131.3%).

The lowest growth rates for financial services, compared to with other regions, were noted in Bukhara (115.6%), Khorezm (120.7%), Andijan (121.2%) Namangan (121.7%), Ferghana (122.7%) regions.

In terms of regions, the highest growth rates for communication services and Informatization are observed in Tashkent (+23.2%), Navoi (+20.3%), Namangan (120.0%), Samarkand (+19.9%), Bukhara (+18.8%) and Jizzakh (+17.6%) regions, as well as in Tashkent city (+20.5%).

Relatively low growth rates for communication services and informatization were recorded in Khorezm (+13.9%), Syrdarya (+14.8%), Surkhandarya (+14.9%), Kashkadarya (+15.7%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (+15.0%).

Among the regions, the largest volume is in Tashkent (17.45 trillion soums) and Tashkent region (4.07 trillion soums).

The smallest volume is observed in Syrdarya (707.7 billion soums) and Jizzakh (1.13 trillion soums) regions.

Among the regions the leading place is located in Tashkent. The share of Tashkent occupies 32.0% of the total volume of market services rendered. At the same time, the largest share in the total volume of services by regions are Tashkent (7.5%), Samarkand (6.8%), Ferghana (6.2%), Andijan (5.5%) regions.

Among the regions, the smallest share to Syrdarya (1.3%), Jizzakh (2.1%), Navoi (2.6%), Khorezm (2.9%) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.0%).

In January-May 2018, the volume of market services provided per capita was equal to 1.66 million soums. Growth rate, compared to with the previous year, reached 5.2%.

The highest rates of service per capita of the population were registered in Tashkent – 7.06 million soums, which rose by 10.6% year-on-year.

The lowest volume of services per capita is observed in Surkhandarya region – 813,700 soums, here the growth rate was 4.5%.
