Volume of paid services reach 1.99 trln soums in 1Q 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of paid services, rendered to population of Uzbekistan in January-March 2011, reached 1.99 trillion soums, or grew by 13.8% year-on-year compared to the same period of 2010.

The main part of paid services was rendered to population by the official sector. The volume of services rendered by this sector made up 1.481 trillion soums (74.4% of total volume) or increased by 137% year-on-year.

The volume of paid services rendered to population by individual entrepreneurs increased by 14% to 508.8 billion soums. The share of this sector in the total volume of paid services made up 25.6%.

The share of the non-state sector in the total volume of paid services rendered to population was 71.8% and the state sector – 28.2%.

The share of personal services in the total volume of paid services was 7.9% or 156.7 billion soums. Their real volume has increased by 18.9%.

The share of services rendered by individual entrepreneurs in the personal services sector was 87.9%. The volume of services rendered by this sector grew by 19.2% to 137.7 billion soums.

In January-March 2011, total volume of market services by all kinds of economic activity reached 7.981 trillion soums, including 1.928 trillion soums in the rural area (24.2% of the total volume of rendered services). In comparison with January-March 2010, the real growth of market services made up 12.6%.

Transport sector produced market services for 2.294 trillion soums, in trade and catering – 1.388 trillion soums, communication and informatization (including services of information-library centers) – 579 billion soums.

The volume of financial services, including issued microloans, made up 739.9 billion soums, tourism services – 4.6 billion soums, and hotel services – 20.5 billion soums.

The high growth rates have been achieved in the following services: communication and information, including services of information and resource centers – 42,7%, financial, including microcredit granting – 25,9%, tourism – 21,6%, repair of cars and other equipment – 18% , personal – 17.3%, internal trade and catering – 15.2%,.

Ttransport (28.7% of total services), trade and catering (17.4%), communal (17%), financial, including microcredit granting (9.3%), communication and information, including services of information and resource centers (7.3%) prevailed in the structure of services.
