Volume of insurance premiums on MICLVO makes up 53.72 bn soums in 1H
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Insurance company of Uzbekistan collected insurance premiums on mandatory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners (MICLVO) for 53.726 billion soums in the first half of 2015, which rose by 25.7% year-on-year, according to clarified data of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the companies with state share collected premiums for 36.194 billion soums in January-June 2015, which grew by 31.1% year-on-year. Other companies increased collection of premiums on MICLVO by 15.8% - to 17.533 billion soums.

According to the Ministry, insurance companies signed about 1.91 million agreements on MICLVO in the first six of 2015, which rose by 7.5%. Insurance companies with state share inked 1.108 million agreements (+2.8%) and other companies – 801,780 agreements (+14.7%).

The volume of accepted liabilities of insurance companies on MICLVO exceeded 17.937 trillion soums in six months of 2015, which grew by 33.9% year-on-year. The liabilities of the companies with state share reached 12.113 trillion soums (+37.9%) and other companies – 5.824 trillion soums (+26.3%).

The MICLVO payouts made up 7.325 billion soums in the first six months of 2015, which rose by 39.8% year-on-year. Insurance companies with state share increased payouts by 29.3% to 3.257 billion soums and other companies – by 49.4% to 4.068 billion soums.

It is worth to mention that nine companies provide MICLVO services in Uzbekistan. Uzagrosugurta, Kafolat and Uzbekinvest are companies with state share. Kapital Sug’urta, ALSKOM, ALFA INVEST, Asia insurans, Universal Sug’urta and IShONCh are in group of “other companies”.

Uzagrosugurta (18.128 billion soums, +23%), Kafolat (10.902 billion soums, +26.4%) and Uzbekinvest (7.163 billion soums, +68.9%) are leading on volume of collected premiums in the first half of 2015.

Uzagrosugurta (1.731 billion soums, +39.6%), Alfa Invest (1.683 billion soums, + 2.14 times) and Kafolat (1.296 billion soums, +21.1%) are leading on volume of payouts in the reporting period.
