The session said that the forecasts on projects, implemented due to foreign investments and loans, were fully executed.

As of 1 April 2013, number of business entities, which render data transfer services, including internet services, reached 928. Number of internet cafes in Uzbekistan made up 1,045.

The prices set for operators and providers for ISP to external channels fell by 9.1% in the first quarter of 2013.

The session underlined that wide-scale work on introduction of broadband networks is underway. Number of installed broadband ports to access Internet reached 407,900 and number of used ports – 207,100 units. The growth made 76.8% and 36.3% respectively. This helped significantly increase number of subscribers to fixed communication lines.

The targeted programmes on transfer of state services to interactive forms in 2013 were adopted. The programme includes 173 interactive services, of which 33 were introduced in the first quarter of 2013. Currently work on introduction of 137 information services in underway.

About 110 information systems are registered at the registrar of information systems of state bodies.

Currently, number of enterprises and organizations, which develop software, makes up 250 and rose by 12 compared to the beginning of 2013.

Number of certificates of electronic signature, issued by electronic key registration centers, made up 238,848. Agency for intellectual property registered 207 software products, 284 software for computers and 23 databases.

Over 1,500 software products, 10 developers and about 30 companies registered at the national database of programmers and software – Software.uz.
