Uzbekistan will be the 10th Vision Asia project, which now has active projects throughout Asia.

A series of meetings and presentations on football administration, clubs and competitions, grassroots and youth football, coaching and referees are planned during the four-day trip from 22 to 25 February.

“We are delighted that Vision Asia is expanding to a new region. Uzbekistan has performed consistently well in the past few years and the start of Vision Uzbekistan will provide a further boost to football development in the country,” said Menton.

“This is the first step towards starting a Vision Asia project in Uzbekistan. We will work together with the Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF) to agree, under the Vision Asia principles, the appropriate strategy for football development in Uzbekistan.”
