Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The intergovernmental agreement on mutual visa exemption between Uzbekistan and China will come into force after the completion of necessary domestic procedures on both sides, according to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On 1 December 2024, in Chengdu, the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and China signed the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Mutual Visa Exemption.
The document was signed in accordance with the agreements reached between the President of Uzbekistan and the Chairman of China.
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the agreement regulates visa-free travel for citizens of both countries, allowing entry, exit, or transit for up to 30 days without the need for a visa.
The agreement will take effect following the completion of the required domestic procedures, the ministry clarified.
