Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Visa contactless card holders, regardless of the country and issuing bank, can pay for their travel in the city of Samarkand through the TEZCARD system, simply by attaching their Visa card to the TEZCARD validator.

This technological solution, implemented in close cooperation with the global payment technology Visa and Orient Finans Bank, is the first in the history of Uzbekistan, covering a large-scale and promising direction as public transport of the whole city. The high tourist potential of Samarkand, the recognized pearl of the East, attracting millions of tourists from all over the world, attaches particular importance to this joint project.

Currently, in Samarkand, a total of about 500 buses and trams are connected to the TEZCARD system. And the implementation of TEZCARD cards is carried out in 15 sales points located in different parts of the city.
