Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Cases of viral hepatitis have been reported in two general education schools in Tashkent, according to the Main Department of the Committee for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health.
The schools affected are No. 214 and No. 65 in the Mirabad district. Specialists from the district’s Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee conducted an epidemiological investigation and sanitary inspection.
The inspection focused on various aspects, including whether medical examinations for students and staff were conducted on time, adherence to personal hygiene rules, cleaning procedures, equipment functionality, heating system operation, the condition of restrooms, the availability of handwashing sinks, and the functioning of sewage systems.
The inspection revealed that the sanitary condition of both schools did not meet the required standards. As a result, administrative protocols were drawn up against the management of the educational institutions.
