Earlier, Kromskiy headed operations of Beeline in Kazakhstan at the post of director-general of Kar-Tel. Kromskiy will take up the duties of Vice-President from 15 December 2009. Evgeniy Pepelyaev, director on regional development of Kar-Tel, was appointed as acting director-general of Kazakh operator.

Alexander Torbahov, VimpelCom director-general, commented the appointment: “Under leadership of Dmitriy, Beeline in Kazakhstan reached new quality level and demonstrates strong financial results stably. I am sure, at new post, Dmitriy will successfully head projects in all areas of the CIS.”

Chief Executive Officer Boris Nemsic said: “Simultaneously with management of Kar-Tel, Dmitriy was holding post of executive director of VimpelCom on development of newly acquired companies in the CIS and successfully participated in solving their business tasks. Expereince and knowledge of Dmitriy is valuable for our company and that’s why we offered to head team of business development in the CIS.”

Dmitriy Kromskiy underlined that CIS states are different, but the growth potential unite them all. He added that search of new opportunities for successful business development is one of his main tasks in new post.
