Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the basis of the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Chirchik), the VII International Olympiad on military professional training of cadets of higher military educational institutions of the CIS member states was held.

For four days, the cadets competed in the following contests: "Tough in training - easy in combat", "Chemical defense", "Orientation", "Shooter", "Duel", "Army biathlon", "Fire defeat", "Overcoming" and "Band".

All participants showed strong-willed qualities, showed brilliant results in tactical, tactical-special and military-sports training.

The most distinguished during the "Duel" competition were representatives of the team of the Kazan Military Tank Command School, cadets Nikitin N.V., Sovgir A.V. and Bogdanov V.M. setting an Olympic record by hitting three targets in 3.8 seconds.

Cadet of the Military Academy of the Institute of the Ground Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Salkeev N.K. in the "Fire defeat" competition, when shooting from an AK-74, he showed confident shooting, knocking out 17 points.

In a pistol shooting competition, a cadet of the Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbekov A.A. scored 103 points, thereby leading his team to first place in the Shooter competition.

When overcoming a complex tactical obstacle course in the competition "Hard in training - easy in battle", the team of the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan showed a time of 16 minutes. 40 seconds, ahead of the nearest pursuers by 9 minutes. 17 sec.

According to the results of the Olympiad in the absolute team championship, the team of the Kyrgyz Republic won a bronze medal. Second place - the team of the Russian Federation.

For the first time, the team of cadets of the Republic of Uzbekistan became the winner of the absolute team championship. The team received the main prize of the Olympiad - the Cup of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation - Chairman of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states, which was presented to them by the Secretary of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states, Major General Yuri Dashkin.

Addressing the participants of the Olympiad, he noted that such joint events contribute to improving the quality of training of future officers, their professional motivation, the formation and disclosure of scientific and creative abilities, as well as the exchange of experience of the teaching staff of higher military educational institutions and the development of teaching methods.

The competitions in military professional training completed the cycle of the final stages of the VII International Olympiad.

At present, the CIS CMO Secretariat, together with the military departments of the Commonwealth states, has begun planning the VIII International Olympiad for cadets of higher military educational institutions of the CIS member states.
