Expressing his delight at working in Viet Nam, the new ambassador said in his term, he would actively contribute to boosting the economic and trade co-operation between the two countries as well as the bilateral co-ordination in the regional and international arena.

Trong agreed that although the relationship between the two nations had developed well in many sectors, bilateral trade value was still modest.

He said he hoped that the two sides would further consolidate and develop their multifaceted co-operation through a variety of channels.
