Uzum Market sellers to handle their own order deliveries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 2 June, Uzum Market is launching a new seller interaction model called DBS (delivery by seller). Under this scheme, the marketplace provides partners only with an online storefront and marketing tools, while the entire order processing—from storage and packaging to delivery to the final customer—is managed independently by the sellers themselves.

This model is primarily targeted at retailers and large brands that have their own logistics infrastructure. Such a collaboration format will allow them to build more flexible processes while retaining access to a broad audience—more than 10 million users of the national marketplace.

Operating under the DBS model, sellers will be able to independently determine delivery geography and order fulfillment times. At the same time, they will be exempt from logistics fees—only a sales commission will be charged. This creates opportunities to offer products on the platform that were previously unavailable due to logistical constraints, such as oversized and specialized items: construction materials, automotive batteries, goods requiring customization or special storage and transportation conditions, jewelry, premium-class products, and other niche categories.

Thus, the new model opens the marketplace to a wide group of sellers with unconventional offerings and expands the assortment available to buyers.

“The DBS model is a natural evolution of our platform. We understand that many entrepreneurs have unique products that are difficult to integrate into traditional schemes due to logistics. Now such businesses will have a real chance to reach Uzum Market’s multi-million audience. We are building a marketplace where every seller—from a large company to a family brand—can find their niche and scale their business,” emphasized Akmal Rakhimov, Deputy General Director of Uzum Market.

Currently, the platform features products from over 15,000 entrepreneurs and companies across the country. Uzum Market’s infrastructure covers more than 400 settlements in Uzbekistan, with active pickup points and courier services.
