Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uztransgaz has denied its own report on preparation of infrastructure of main gas pipelines for gas imports from Russia.
On 3 March, the company published a story about preparation of infrastructure of main gas pipelines for gas imports from Russia.
Later, Uztransgaz published a correction. The company noted that the posts with inaccurate information was published "due to a misunderstanding".
Uztransgaz noted that the installation works of the Gazli Directorate of Main Gas Pipelines on internal communications and main gas pipelines are not related to the import of gas from Russia.
"The preventive measures and welding works carried out are aimed at increasing the efficiency of gas supply to consumers in the southern regions of our republic," it was reported.
Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia have signed a road map on cooperation in the gas sector. The parties are discussing the supply of Russian gas to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan through the Central Asia-Center gas pipeline.
