Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- These days, a delegation led by the Uztekstilprom Association is making a practical visit to the state of Georgia. A round table was held with the participation of the Georgian Clothing and Fashion Association (GAFA) and more than 10 large Georgian exporting and importing companies (Makratelli, Soteri, Elselema LTD, TBILO, etc.).

As a result of the negotiations, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed to expand bilateral trade and investment ties, ensure the active participation of Georgian companies in textile activities in Uzbekistan and other issues of comprehensive cooperation.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was also signed with the General Director of the Poti Free Economic Zone David Ebralidze, which stipulates the creation of a logistics center in the Poti FEZ, the introduction of a tax on products manufactured in Uzbekistan to the USA, Canada and Japan, as well as the establishment of cooperation relations with enterprises in FEZ territories without customs duties, using the GSP+ system in Georgia with these countries.

During the day, B2B meetings were held with the leadership of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the heads of leading manufacturers and brand companies in its composition, such as Delta Textile, Rumor, Femi Georgia, Wooxy, Ninea to expand trade relations, placing orders for ready-made clothes to Uzbek enterprises, and clear agreements were reached on organizing a business mission of Georgian companies to Uzbekistan.
