UzSE turnover reaches US$30,300 on Monday
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total trade turnover at Uzbekistan Stock Exchange “Tashkent” (UzSE) on 24 November made US$30,300, which is about 15% higher than total trade turnover of the last week. But the tendency of quote falls that started last week continues. Almost all stocks fell in price on the reporting day. The largest quote fall belongs to Yangikurgon Pahta (Yangikurgon Cotton), whose shares were 28.02% down as a result of a deal on purchasing 1.34% holding in the company.

Also common stocks of Kashkadaryo parmalash ishlari fell in price by quarter (-24.38%), as well as structural glass producer Kvartz (-25.00%) and Uzbek commodity exchange (UZEX - quotes fell 25.64%).

Other issuers also fell in price but not significantly. In particular, preferred stocks of Aloqa Bank fell by 0.42%. Quotations fall on common stocks of Uzelektromontaj (Uzbek electro installation) was 0.80%. A deal on purchasing of a significant stock holding in Furkat tumani ishonch didn’t save its share price from fall. Investors purchased 5,326 common stocks of the issuer, or 11.04% of authorized capital of OJSC Furkat tumani ishonch.

In the light of the price fall on almost all securities traded during the day, common stocks of Fargona nasilli parranda were most stable owing to the fact that their price remained unchanged.

One third of all stocks, which were traded, belong to the sector of cotton processing and textile producing. Total turnover of this sector made US$6,880 or 87.51% of total trade turnover of the day.

The second place in the rating of largest trade turnover was occupied by enterprises of food production sector - 8.86%. Investors were purchasing securities of banks not as actively as usual, notwithstanding the fact that Uzbek banking system seems to be more stable despite the world financial crisis. The share of banking sector took only 0.19% of total trade turnover.
