UZSE closes the year with a net profit of 12.3 billion soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) concluded the year 2024 with a net profit of 12.3 billion soums, in stark contrast to the previous year's net loss of 467.1 million soums.
This record-breaking financial result was driven by a significant increase in trading volume and net revenue, as well as a rise in interest income, which surged from 0.7 billion to 3.7 billion soums over the year.
In 2024, the total trading volume on the exchange reached 21.95 trillion soums ($1.7 billion), while the number of transactions rose to 498,381.
For comparison, in 2023, these figures stood at 2.89 trillion soums and 411,870 transactions, respectively.
The exchange's revenue grew by 213%, reaching 33.9 billion soums, while gross profit increased by 283.8% to 20.4 billion soums.
By the end of the year, the exchange's assets had expanded by 13.9%, amounting to 81.3 billion soums, while its capital increased by 10.2%, reaching 78.4 billion soums.
