Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 10 September 2024, the Chairman of the Board of the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) Georgy Paresishvili met with a delegation from the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

The visit aimed to familiarize the EDB with Uzbekistan’s capital market, explore opportunities for its engagement, and find ways to finance local companies.

Sultanat Adilkhan, Executive Director for Investor Relations and Financial Institutions at the EDB’s Funding Directorate, presented the bank’s activities and plans, highlighting the interest in collaborating with UZSE on upcoming projects.

Among the proposed projects are the issuance and placement of securities on UZSE and investments in local bonds in both national and foreign currencies. She also noted that Central Asia is a priority region for the EDB.

Georgy Paresishvili updated the delegation on the current conditions and opportunities in the Uzbek capital market, as well as the necessary procedures for implementing the planned projects.

He assured that UZSE is ready to assist the EDB in this process. Both parties agreed to continue their cooperation to achieve tangible results.
