Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 July, Uzpromstroybank received a certificate of compliance of the anti-corruption management system with the international standard ISO 37001:2016. This certificate signifies the irreconcilable attitude of the Bank to any manifestations of corruption, serves to increase the confidence of investors and business partners in the privatization process.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the country from 6 July 2021 “On additional measures for the effective organization of anti-corruption activities”, a new mechanism has been created in all state bodies and organizations to identify and eliminate the causes and conditions of corruption manifestations.

Uzpromstroybank has also introduced an anti-corruption system that operates on the basis of international standards, work in this direction is being consistently improved.

In particular, together with foreign experts, a number of measures were taken to bring the Bank’s anti-corruption management system in line with the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001:2016.

In particular, the threats and risks that can lead to corrupt practices are assessed, and measures to reduce them are identified.

Such systematic work has been established as checking counterparties, providing employees with a declaration of compliance with the anti-corruption policy, recording the processes of hiring citizens through a video surveillance device and posting it on social networks, maintaining a list of employees with a high risk of corruption and a register of conflicts of interest.

Together with the international training company CERT Academy, a number of training courses were organized to familiarize bank employees with the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001:2016. As a result, about 80 top managers have been awarded the ISO 37001:2016 international standard certificate.

In this regard, it should be noted that Uzpromstroybank is one of the first institutions to implement the international standard ISO 37001:2016 of the anti-corruption management system in three stages (in the context of the republic, regions and districts (cities)).

This, in turn, will prevent possible manifestations of corruption in the system, will serve to improve the level of services provided to customers based on the principles of openness and transparency.
