Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In the Best Bank Awards 2020 contest held by AsiaMoney magazine, Uzpromstroybank (UzPSB) was recognized as the winner in the Best Local Bank nomination.

The contest "Best Bank" is annually traditionally held by an international reputable financial publication - AsiaMoney magazine among the banks of the Asia-Pacific region. The main goal of the competition is to evaluate the activity of banks in each country over the past year. Winners are selected in such nominations as “The Best Local Bank”, “The Best Corporate and Investment Bank”, “The Best International Bank”, “The Bank that Provided the Best Services to Small and Medium Enterprises”, “The Best Digital Bank”, “The Best Bank from the Point” view of corporate social responsibility ”,“ Best bank for the provision of microfinance services.

Experts of the publication analyzed the activity of UzPSB as the largest credit institution in the country over the past 12 months. According to the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan as of February 1 of this year, the bank’s assets grew by 15.4 percent compared to the same period last year, and amounted to 35.4 trillion soums.

AsiaMoney also drew attention to the rebranding work of the bank in 2018, the activities of the specially deployed SQB Premium office and a wide infrastructure throughout the state. It is noted that "despite the fact that the bank believes in a digital banking revolution, it continues to develop its own servicing structures as the organization with the largest client base in the country."

The importance of Eurobonds worth $ 300 million placed by Uzpromstroybank last November on the London Stock Exchange was also taken into account. It is noted that this event was a breakthrough for the country and the debut of the Uzbek bank in the global stock market.

Analysts praised the bank’s credit policy, including cooperation with international financial institutions, which are important partners in the country’s integration in the global financial market.
