Uzpromstroybank issues 885,159 banking cards
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Open joint stock commercial “Uzbek Industrial-Construction Bank” (Uzpromstroybank) emitted 885,159 banking cards as of 1 January 2014, which is 62,433 units more compared to 1 January 2013.
The bank said that 135,308 banking cards were issued based on new platform SmartVista. The bank emitted 1,698 VISA corporate cards. Individual businesses received 28 banking cards of VISA.
Uzpromstroybank installed 7,121 POS-terminals, of which 6,553 were installed at trade points, 568 – saving cash offices and mini-banks. About 1,100 POS-terminals on SmartVista platform were installed at trade points and 200 POS-terminals at mini-banks. The growth of number of POS-terminals made up 608.
The Uzbek bank also installed 20 ATMs and 14 infokiosks to provide services to population, the bank said.
In 2013, the turnover with Visa cards and cards on SmartVista platform made up 1.46 trillion soums in 2013, which grew by 419.3 billion soums compared to 2012. The turnover with cards on SmartVista platform made up 202.2 billion soums.
The payments for 831.7 billion soums were carried out at trade and service points in 2013, which grew by 319.9 billion soums compared to 2012.
The bank conducted transactions on issuing cash for 172.9 billion soums in 2013.
