Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A leading producer of iron and steel products in Uzbekistan, Uzbek Metallurgical Plant JSC (Uzmetkombinat) has attracted a credit line from Citibank in the amount of US$100 million.

On 4 August, Uzmetkombinat and the London branch of Citibank signed a US$100 million loan agreement. The funds are provided without guarantees or collateral.

The funds will be used to finance working capital and refinance the current loan portfolio in order to reduce loan servicing costs.

Allen & Overy and Centil acted as legal advisors on the transaction.
