It was noted that wide-scale construction works have been carried out in Karakalpakstan during independence years. In particular, Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex is constructed in the Republic. The cost of the project is US$3.9 billion and it will be commissioned in the end of 2016.
Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex will ensure processing of 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas and produce 3.7 billion tank gas, 387,000 polyethylene and 83,000 tonnes of polypropylene, as well as 102,000 tonnes of pyrolized petroleum and other products. Currently, 6,400 people work at the construction site.
The volume of investments, attracted to Karakalpakstan in 2013, made up US$14.318 million. Over 1,700 businesses participated in various exhibitions.
The event underlined that that independence gave people chance to realize their opportunities and skills in social-economic spheres.
UzLiDeP activists underlined that during celebrations of Independence, it is necessary to pay attention to development of small and private businesses, farms, well-being of population, discuss achievements of the country, etc.
