UzLiDeP faction consider several draft laws
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Faction of the Movement of entrepreneurs and businesspeople – Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) held a session to discuss draft laws on 5 November 2013.

MPs, experts and specialists and mass media representative participated in the session.

MPs considered draft laws “On guardianship and custody” and “On introduction of amendments and changes to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with the adoption of the Law “On guardianship and custody”, which will be considered in the second reading.

UzLiDeP faction said that Uzbekistan has multilevel system of protection of rights and interests of people, who need guardianship and custody. The sphere is regulated with such documents and Family Code and Civil Coded, laws “On guarantee of children rights”, “On preventing child neglect and juvenile delinquency”, etc.

It was said that the document is directed at determining state policy in the sphere of guardianship and custody. It sets functions and tasks of the bodies of guardianship and custody, etc.

MPs of the faction supported the documents, saying they will protect interests and rights of people, who need guardianship and custody support.

UzLiDeP faction also discussed a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to regulation on qualification board of judges”. The party faction said that the document is a logical continuation of reforms in judicial-legal sphere directed at increasing role and importance of the courts.

The document envisages at increasing requirements to candidates to the judges post and form reserve of judicial cadres, etc. It also stipulates measures on social protection of the judges.

UzLiDeP faction noted that objective and fair could, which provides real protection of citizens and their property, will be important factor for developing legal state and civil society in the country.

At the end of the session, the UzLiDeP faction adopted corresponding decisions.
