UzLiDeP believes NDPU silence is indifference to country, voters’ fate
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Inter-party competition directed at increasing professionalism of party and their role in life and reforming society is playing important place in further developing civil society.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov, speaking at joint session of both chambers of parliament, underlined importance of inter-party debates and raising professionalism parties in studying and solving social-economic tasks of the country. But, despite a year past from elections, the parties remain passive in this direction.

This topic became reason for inter-party collision between Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP) and People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (NDPU), which accused each other in inexistence of real works. Liberal-Democrats underlined that NDPU, which is “veteran” party, instead of solving existing problems of its voters and creating jobs continues to accuse UzLiDeP in all troubles.

UzLiDeP representatives noted that NDPU members are trying to refuse their pre-election promises and shift all problems to UzLiDeP and tries to convince public that UzLiDeP is guilty for all problems in Uzbekistan. UzLiDeP said that NDPU criticizes its party, but for some reason were silent during discussion of State Budget for 2011, despite the budget is important document.

UzLiDeP underlined that silence of NDPU is indifference of party to fate of country and own voters. The party asks should the government speak before such passive MPs, who put their small problems before well-being of the country.

Liberal-democrats stated that the party actively works on implementation of tasks of the pre-election platform. The main think for party is interests of voters and expansion of cooperation with the government with use of such parliamentary mechanisms as parliamentary supervision, initiating new laws and others.
