It was noted that due to the suspension of electricity supply at the base stations of mobile operators, damage to the infrastructure of the local telecommunications network, underground fiber-optic communication cables, as well as underground communication cables, as well as taking into account the emergency situation, emergency repairs and dismantling of station equipment began.
As a result of the operational measures taken, the telephone exchange was reconstructed and put into operation in the town of Sardoba in Akaltin district of Syrdarya region (C & C08 RSP HUAWEI station, the total installation capacity of 1152 subscribers, of which 567 were used, the number of subscribers with 288 DSLAM ports installed was 288 ) This telephone exchange, which previously operated on a diesel generator, was connected to the power supply system on 3 May.
As of 18:00 hours on 5 May 2020, 80 of 86 base stations of 5 mobile operators were fully restored, including 47 base stations were reconnected to the power supply system, and the necessary repairs were carried out at other facilities.
Also, as a result of the flood, the KM-TAE 61 trunk communication cable located in Mirzaabad district of Syrdarya region was damaged, as a result of which the communication cable was completely transferred to another cable trunk and a back-up trunk cable of Uzbekiston Temir Yollari JSC.
In addition, to create the conditions for those involved in disaster management, a short number “1205” was created and attached to the headquarters of the regional emergency management department, Uzmobayl landline telephones and SIM cards were allocated.
