The statement said the high-speed train of high convenience Registon (No. 3/4) will start to run on the route Samarkand-Tashkent-Samarkand from 1 June 2010.
The train will leave from Samarkand at 6:20 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays, and arrive in Tashkent at 9:50.
High-speed electric train will leave Tashkent at 18:30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and Mondays. It will arrive in Samarkand at 21:50.
According to the company, currently, train “Registon” (No. 1/2) runs between Tashkent and Samarkand. The train leaves Tashkent at 7:00 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. From Samarkand, the train moves at 17:00 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Uzjeldorpass OJSC launched high-speed route between Tashkent and Samarkand on 15 January 2010. The train Registon runs between the cities. The trains equipped with comfortable seats.
As earlier reported, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari is also planning to launch high-speed route between Tashkent and Samarkand in the middle of 2011. The company purchases two high speed electric trains Talgo-250 (Spain) with the cost of 38 million euros.
