Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan announced a ban on the sale and storage of 19 drugs intended for weight loss, which are sold via the Internet.

Urging citizens and pharmacies to be vigilant, the center published a list of drugs.

The study showed that these drugs contain sibutramine, a substance included in the list of potent substances in Uzbekistan.

This is an anorexigenic drug, an amphetamine-type drug, a psychostimulant that reduces appetite and increases the feeling of satiety.

These drugs are not registered as medicines in the country and are subject to criminal liability for the illegal introduction of potent substances into circulation.
