Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 7 to 13 November, goods worth 2.58 trillion soums were sold on all trading platforms of the Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX), which 8.3% more than the previous week. Of these, 82.9% of sales came from exchange auctions, 1.5% - from exhibition and fair sales, 15.4% - from government purchases and 0.2% - from online auctions of license plates.
The total volume of transactions concluded with the participation of small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 625.8 billion soums. As a result of electronic auctions for public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 80.5 billion soums.
During the period under review, 2,638 license plates were sold in the amount of 5.4 billion soums through an online auction. As a result of competitive bidding, 8.4% of completed transactions were for premium autonumbers; 7.2% of transactions for the 2nd category; 7.1% for the 3rd category; 10.0% for the 4th category; 18.6% for the 5th category; as well as 48.7% for the 6th category of license plates.
Exchange trading
During the reporting period, commodity resources worth 2.14 trillion soums were sold at open exchange auctions. Selling enterprises put goods up for exchange auctions in accordance with the approved schedules, including:
Liquefied gas
On the exchange market of liquefied natural gas, a decrease in prices was recorded. Last week, 5,808.0 tons of liquefied gas were put up for sale, of which 5,766.0 tons or 99.3% were sold. An average of 219 buyers took part in exchange trading daily.
During the period under review, the daily average price for liquefied gas decreased from 3.78 million soums to 3.69 million soums per ton, or by 2.2%.
Sugar
A drop in prices was recorded on the sugar exchange market. During the past week, 10,502.0 tons of sugar were put up for sale, of which 9,802.0 tons or 93.3% were sold. An average of 293 buyers took part in exchange trading daily.
During the period under review, the daily average price for sugar of all categories decreased from 10.75 million soums to 10.56 million soums per ton.
As a result of exchange trading, the weekly weighted average price for local sugar of the TC-2 category amounted to 10.97 million soums per ton.
Cement
During the past week, 110,656.0 tons of cement were sold. The daily volume of cement sales averaged 22.1 thousand tons.
During the period under review, the daily average price for cement of all grades decreased from 582.0 thousand soums to 579.0 thousand soums per ton. An average of 175 buyers took part in exchange trading daily.
