Within the programme, the Association is planning to attract investments for US$83.5 million, Gazeta.uz reported.

It is planned to launch production of new domestic electrical products – Algorithm, Foton, Zenit and Sino and at Navoi free industrial-economic zone.

Overall, it is planned to launch capacities for production of 200,000 TV-sets, 90,000 washing machines, 50,000 dishwashing machines, 150,000 air conditioners, 50,000 air purifiers, 100,000 compact players, 50,000 musical systems, 2 million mobile phones, 200,000 personal computers, 100 vacuum cleaners and 50,000 loud speakers for audio systems.

The projects will be financed due to foreign direct investments and loans of the Uzbek commercial banks.
