As reported earlier, Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information suspended license of MTS Uzbekistan for 10 working days. The license is suspended for repeated and systematic gross violations, non-fulfillment of orders of controlling body, the regulator said in its statement.
According to the UzACI decree, the operator will not have internetwork connection with other telecommunication operators and access to international telecommunication networks, including Internet.
In line with the document, within three days from 18:00 of 17 July, network of Uzdunrobita will be switched off across Uzbekistan.
The UzACI ordered the State Communication Inspection in cooperation with Uzdunrobita representatives to study reasons of violations, analyze adopted measures on their elimination and submit information to the agency.
According to the decree, State Communication Inspection revealed that Uzdunrobita worsened quality of mobile communication services and illegally used basic stations.
The company said that Uzdunrobita illegally used 256 basic stations and fiber optic communication line in Uzbekistan.
