Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12-15 December, the final stage of industrial fairs held in the regions throughout the year, the Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair, was held in Tashkent at the Uzexpocenter National Exhibition Complex.

The Uzcharmsanoat Association and its member enterprises participated in the intersectoral industrial fair with collective and individual stands. The exhibition presented about 500 types of product samples produced by our domestic enterprises. These include finished leather, shoes, leather goods, wool, fur, chemicals, accessories, shoe soles and other popular products.

In order to further develop cooperation ties, industry enterprises held a series of B2B meetings with representatives of the automotive, electrical, mining, chemical, metallurgical, oil and gas industries.

It should be noted that in 2023, member enterprises of the Uzcharmsanoat association implemented 21 projects as part of the localization program, within which it was planned to produce products worth 480 billion soums. But in fact, by the end of the year the figure is expected to reach 525 billion soums. Thus, the growth compared to last year will be 109%.

In 2024, as part of the localization program, it is planned to master the production of 21 types of products, the volume of output of import-substituting products will be increased in monetary terms to 487.87 billion soums. Today, 174 industry enterprises are registered on the portal new.cooperation.uz and samples of 550 types of products are posted.

The Uzcharmsanoat Association held a presentation at the inter-industry fair on the topic “Development of the leather, footwear and fur industry and ensuring its competitiveness in world markets.” As noted by experts, today gelatin, shoe soles, TEP granules, and artificial leather are completely localized and exported. Partial localization of PVC glue, EVA granules, polyurethane glue, accessories, and car covers has also been achieved.

As a result of the Republican Intersectoral Industrial Fair, enterprises in the leather and footwear industry signed several cooperation contracts totaling 152 billion soums.
