Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the 25th international exhibition of footwear products and the 8th international exhibition of sports industry, which takes place in China, a forum was held to support national initiatives in the leather industry and develop new proposals in within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” project.

The forum was attended by associations, companies, brands and manufacturers of the leather industry from countries participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the One Belt, One Road project.

Issues of expanding mutual trade and economic cooperation and implementing new joint projects were discussed.

Uzcharmsanoat Association held a presentation on the production, investment and export potential of the leather industry of Uzbekistan. Information was presented on preferences and benefits provided by the state to foreign and local investors.

The forum participants discussed transport, logistics and customs issues, and also proposed ideas for expanding ties using new technologies in production and personnel training. Issues of production costs and market requirements were discussed.

The leather industry of the countries participating in the “One Belt, One Road” project shows stable growth every year. The forum created the necessary conditions for the development of new business projects and facilitated negotiations in B2B and G2B formats. Companies from Uzbekistan held negotiations with enterprises from China, Russia, Nepal, Bangladesh and Italy.

For example, at the meeting, representatives of Cast Shoes LLC discussed with the Chinese companies ZH&RENY and PODARCEK about trading in textile materials for the development of sports shoes. Negotiations also took place on the development of new models of footwear products.

Ravon Taraqqiyot Orzusi LLC discussed the prospects for cooperation with Hongtushoes on the basis of outsourcing. Representatives of the Chinese company noted that the leather industry of Uzbekistan is developing and is one of the leaders in the production of competitive products.

In addition, at the exhibition, local enterprises are negotiating to establish trade and economic ties with companies from various countries.
