Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 May, at the initiative of the Uzcharmsanoat Association, a meeting was held via videoconference with representatives of the Leather Chamber of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

It should be noted that today our countries occupy an equal position among the countries-tanners. In addition, in recent years, a number of projects have been launched between partner countries in the leather and footwear industry. Among them are negotiations with the Al Rowad company of the Arab Republic of Egypt and cooperation on organizing the production of leather goods.

During the next dialogue, an exchange of views took place on bringing cooperation between the two countries to a qualitatively new level. Representatives of the Leather Chamber of the Arab Republic of Egypt were provided with detailed information on the production potential of the Uzbek leather industry, investment environment, export potential, raw material base, customs, tax benefits, transport and logistics areas

Based on the results of the negotiations, the parties identified further areas of cooperation and new points of growth. Proposals were also made to ensure the active participation of enterprises of the two countries in professional exhibitions held in Uzbekistan and Egypt.
