UzCharmExpo-2022 kicks off in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 13th International Exhibition-Fair of Leather, Shoes, Haberdashery, Fur, Wool and Localized Products UzCharmExpo-2022 has started at Uzexpocentre NEC. The organizer of the prestigious forum is the Uzcharmsanoat Association with the assistance of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Held twice a year - in spring and autumn - this exhibition is an effective platform for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation, establishing cooperative ties and enriching business books with new contacts.

UzCharmExpo-2022 is the largest specialized exhibition of the leather, footwear and fur industry in Central Asia with an international composition of participants and visitors. More than 450 domestic and more than 70 companies with 5,000 samples of finished products from 20 foreign countries take part in the next 13th exposition with their individual stands.

Representatives of about 2,500 domestic and foreign companies were registered as visitors to the exhibition. The exhibition not only introduces the production potential of all regions of Uzbekistan, but also becomes a dialogue platform for industry experts from various countries.

The geography of the exposition guests is represented by Great Britain, Italy, Germany, India, Turkey, Spain, Hungary, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Poland and other countries. Among the guests of honor are the International Council of Tanners, the International Fur Federation, national associations, councils and unions of tanners, shoemakers and furs from a number of states.

By expanding cooperation with companies specializing in the production of leather, footwear, leather goods, fur and astrakhan products, foreign trade missions and fashion houses that are part of the Uzcharmsanoat Association, in 2022 it is expected that exports worth US$500.0 million, up 18.8% from 2021. Products are already supplied to the markets of more than 40 countries around the world.

Given the wide range of opportunities created for the development of the sphere, it is planned to implement 120 investment projects in the leather and footwear sector of the country by the end of 2022, which will make it possible to open 50 new and modernize 70 existing enterprises. The total volume of attracted investments in the sphere will amount to US$176 million, which will create more than ten thousand new jobs, where priority will be given to graduates of higher educational institutions and professional colleges.

The best offers of the domestic industry of leather, footwear, fur and wool are presented at the stands of the UzCharmExpo-2022 exhibition, which will last for three days.

Also, a show of new models made of leather and fur by young designers was organized.

UzCharmExpo-2022 is not only an opportunity to get acquainted with the potential of companies, product range and industry innovations, but at the same time an effective platform for B2B and G2B negotiations, attracting investments and increasing export potential. Business negotiations and presentations are held within the framework of the exhibition.

The UzCharmExpo-2022 exhibition will continue until 14 October inclusive.
