On 30 June 2017, the URPC carried out the first transaction with use of the MasterCard, the statement of the center said.

It added that many foreign visitors, who possess MasterCard, may be interested in new service, which will improve non-cash transactions in Uzbekistan.

Currently, NBU is working on installing necessary software on POS-terminals to accept MasterCard cards in trade and service points across Uzbekistan.
