UZCARD builds playground for children at Republican Pediatric Psychoneurological Hospital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of its 20th anniversary celebration, Uzbekistan’s national payment system UZCARD has completed a charitable project by building a modern playground for young patients at the Republican Pediatric Psychoneurological Hospital named after U. K. Kurbanov.
This hospital is the only specialized medical center in Uzbekistan providing free comprehensive care for children with cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, autism, and other neurological conditions.
The newly constructed playground was designed with safety and accessibility in mind, developed in collaboration with the National Agency for Social Protection and the Society of People with Disabilities of Uzbekistan. Built from eco-friendly materials, the facility aims to support children’s rehabilitation, play, and socialization during treatment.
David Melikidze, CEO of UCMG, noted: “Social responsibility is a vital part of UZCARD’s mission. We aim to support those who need it most. This playground is our gift to the children—a symbol of care and belief in their bright future. May it be filled with laughter and joy, helping every child feel happy and included.”
UZCARD places a strong emphasis on supporting children in difficult life situations, making this a key focus of its philanthropic activities.
Elmira Basitkhanova, Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, stated: “Initiatives like this are immensely important for society. They not only create comfortable conditions for treatment but also contribute to the psychological and emotional well-being of children. We hope UZCARD’s example will inspire other companies to participate in such projects.”
Shoira Nurmatova, Chief Physician of the hospital, added: “We are sincerely grateful to UZCARD for this meaningful project. The playground will become a space where our young patients can take a break from their illnesses, communicate, and develop in a safe and welcoming environment.”
UZCARD continues to implement social initiatives, reaffirming its commitment to improving quality of life across Uzbekistan.
