The Samarkand regional department of Uzbektourism National Company together with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have published a "Guidebook of Samarkand" dedicated to the city’s 2750th anniversary, Jahon reported.
The book, printed by Samarkand Zarafshon publishing house in Russian, English, Japanese, French and German languages, is mainly intended for foreign tourists.
The guidebook contains various articles and photos on the history and the present of Samarkand, creative work carried out in the city during the years of Uzbekistan’s independence, life and traditions of the Samarkand people, historical monuments and modern buildings of the city.
