Farrukh Rizaev congratulated Jacques-Henry Heuls with his appointed as Ambassador of France to Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek side informed the French envoy on historic and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, reforms in tourism sector, measures directed at improving tourism infrastructure.

The French envoy received information about the state programme on developing tourism sector in the regions of Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek side underlined importance of cooperation in tourism sector and implementation of joint projects in training specialists, as well as attraction of French companies in construction of hotels, recreation and catering points at tourism routers, technical assistance of French government, etc.

Jacques-Henry Heuls said that development of tourism is important direction of international relations of France and said that Uzbekistan has everything for development of tourism. According to the envoy, the sides have all opportunities to develop all types of tourism.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of training cadres, attracting technical assistance and foreign investors into tourism sector. French side expressed interest in developing cooperation in this direction.

The sides expressed hope to develop relations in tourism sector between Uzbekistan and France.
