During the meeting, the Uzbektourism chief underlined that Slovakia is a potential market for attracting tourists into Uzbekistan. He said that over 7,000 ancient architectural and archeological monuments in Bukhara, Tashkent, Samarkand, Shahrisabz, Khiva, Termez and Qoqand.
At the same time, Slovakia has great opportunities for development of historic, resort and ecotourism, including winter active tourism. Envoy said that Slovakia has developed resort tourism with opportunities to improve health with thermal and mineral waters. Ambassador said that the country also works on development of agriculture tourism.
Envoy underlined that Uzbekistan develops tourism as complete industry and highly rates measures, implemented in the country to develop tourism sector.
At the end of the meeting, the sides underlined its interest in deepening and expanding contacts between Uzbekistan and Slovakia in tourism sector.
