Uzbektelecom joint-stock company, Uzbek national telecommunication operator, said its income from its all branches made up 40.7 billion soums in the first quarter of 2007.

Income from services to population comprised 12.5 billion soums, which made up 31.7% from total income.

The company’s profits from general economic activity were 4.9 billion soums and net earnings reached 3.8 billion soums.

In the first quarter, the volume of international internet channel increased from 199 Mbit/s from 233 Mbit/s. The access to global internet network ensured on four independent directions.

Uzbektelecom used 2.4 billion soums of investments in the reporting period, including 2.2 billion soums from own funds, 169 million soums from credits of local banks and 37.4 billion soums from funds of population.
