Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbektelecom will increase Internet speed by 10 times by the end of 2018, the company said in a statement.

The company commented on media reports that published messages UzA, which stated that the speed of the Internet will increase by 10 times by 1 December 2018.

Over the past 10 months, Uzbektelecom conducted a structural analysis of the necessary improvements, purchased the necessary equipment, developed a schedule and carried out a wide range of work to expand the capacity of the external channel and increase the speed of access to the Internet for providers, operators and end users.

At the beginning of this year, access to external Internet channels Uzbekistan received through just two international hubs. By the beginning of 2018, the nodes were working almost at the limit, having reached its peak of productivity. In this regard, the technical services of the Company are conducting a phased modernization today, following which, before the end of this year, Uzbektelecom will be able to provide the speed that operators and providers, who purchase a channel from UZTELECOM can consume.

All applications of providers and operators will be satisfied without restrictions and in full, the company said.
