Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbektelecom plans to raise a loan of 200 million euros for the implementation of a project to modernize the telecommunications infrastructure of the eastern regions together with Huawei.

An extraordinary meeting of the company’s shareholders approved the decision to raise a loan for the project. The funds are expected to be provided by Credit Suisse AG London.

The shareholders granted the right to the executive body of Uzbektelecom the right to draw up documents related to the attraction of a loan.
