Uzbektelecom reduces prices for operators and providers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbektelecom carries out comprehensive work on the development of modern information technologies and communications, the creation of an integrated system of e-government services, the introduction of new mechanisms of state interaction with the population.

In particular, work is underway to reduce the cost for the end user, increase their availability for all categories of subscribers.

In order to implement the tasks set, from 1 May 2021, the cost of channels provided to operators and providers through the international packet switching center (MCPK) is expected to decrease by 20% (32,000 soums) compared to previous tariffs. It should be noted that over the past 3 years, the cost of services has been reduced by more than 7.5 times.

At the end of 2020, on IP transport services, as a result of the work done by Uzbektelecom within the framework of the project "Expansion of backbone and multiservice data transmission networks" in 2020, the throughput of the transport network to regional centers was doubled, and to regional centers - four times. In connection with the completion of the main part of the work on this project, from 1 January 2021, the cost of services for the lease of transport channels was reduced by 2 times.

From 1 May 2021, the cost of these services will be reduced by another 30%.

It is worth emphasizing that this will largely affect the development of operators and providers in remote regions of the Republic.
